Are the aircraft and charter operators ALLTUS uses safe?

The FAA has strict rules in place for everyone involved in air travel. The air charter operators, the pilot and crew, even you, the passenger will be briefed on flight safety requirements in an effort to have the safest flight possible. The FAA closely monitors all air charter operators to ensure they conform to the highest and most recently established standards of performance. The high standards for training, maintenance and operations required by the FAA, and the devotion to safety of the charter operators themselves, assure you the safest possible flight environment. Couple this attitude towards safety with all the technological improvements in the cockpit over recent years, and you have the safest mode of transportation available.

We, at ALLTUS, use the strictest due diligence when doing business with any charter operator. We verify safety and experience histories on both the operator(s) and pilot(s), as well as, collect the operator's current charter certificate and certificate of insurance. ALLTUS also pulls a WYVERN PASS REPORT which verifies the operator, aircraft, and crew have met the Wyvern Safety Standard, the most prestigious, highly recognized safety audit company in the USA. It demands safety standards of an operator far in excess of most government regulatory agencies.

How secure is private air charter?

Global security concerns have led to significant security enhancements within the entire aviation industry, and charter operators are no exception. In fact, enhanced security is often one of the primary reasons for chartering, because when you charter an aircraft, it is tailored to your itinerary and requirements. You dictate the departure time, location, destination, and passengers. All of which enhance the experience while alleviating any threats to your personal security. ALLTUS has a rigid confidentiality policy in place for everyone involved in your contract charter from our own employees to the employees of the charter operator. At no time, shall anyone ever divulge your personal itinerary, passenger list, or any other information without your consent.

Recently, the federal government has mandated security programs for most charter operators. In addition, most charter operators and many airports have also instituted security precautions for charter passengers that may include a verification of identification, checks of baggage for dangerous items, screening with a metal detector and other measures, even when not required by federal regulations. ALLTUS and your charter operator are dedicated to ensuring your safety and security and will be willing to answer any of your questions.

Will I need a passport or any other sort of documentation when flying internationally?

Passports are required for each passenger when an itinerary consists of leaving one country for another. A Visa may also be required depending upon the country. If you are not sure if a Visa is required, contact your national immigration office to gain further information. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Absent parent(S) must submit a notarized Child Travel Consent Form verifying permission three days prior to departure. Your ALLTUS charter specialist is well versed at and will draft the form on your behalf.

How much baggage can we bring on the trip?

The amount of luggage that passengers can take is dependent upon the type of aircraft being used for the trip. Your ALLTUS representative will brief you on any luggage restrictions if any exist. If you have an unusually large amount of luggage or any oddly shaped items, please notify your ALLTUS charter specialist in advance to ensure we can accommodate the request.

Will there be any food or beverages on the aircraft?

Basic beverages and snacks are generally complimentary (soda, juice, coffee, cookies, crackers, etc.), your ALLTUS charter specialist will provide you a checklist to insure the standard complimentary in-flight beverages and snacks are to your liking. This checklist will also allow you to arrange for additional catering and liquor bar if so desired for the flight.

Absolutely, just let your ALLTUS representative know how we may assist. Small children, pets, elderly passengers, or any form of disabilities or impairments should be handled in advance to assure the most comfortable and safe experience for all.

Is there a cancellation fee after booking?

The ALLTUS cancellation fee usually mirrors that of the charter operator's and is clearly stated within the ALLTUS charter contract. You will have all contract information before you decide to finalize the charter agreement. A typical cancellation policy may look something like this:

  • 5 days or more notice - No cancellation fee
  • Less than 5 days but more than 48 hours - 25%of the charter rate
  • Less than 48 but more than 24 hours notice - 50% of the charter rate
  • On the day of the charter or if no notice received - 100% of the charter rate

Why should I call ALLTUS first?

Because what a lot of folks don't know is that when they "shop around" for charter quotes before contacting ALLTUS, they have very nearly eliminated the basis for negotiating lowered rates, that is to say, why should the charter operators lease us the plane at a discounted rate when they have you on the hook for the full retail charter amount?
